Covers foreign workers who will earn a wage that’s equal to or higher than the provincial or territorial median hourly wage. This will typically result in a 3-year work permit for the foreign worker. 

Low Wage Workers

Designed for foreign workers who will earn a lower wage than the provincial or territorial median hourly wage. This will typically result in a 1 or 2 year work permit. 

Dual Intent

LMIA stream for high skilled positions used to support the foreign nationals Permanent Residency process and Work Permit application.

LMIA Application Requirements

All LMIA applications must be submitted online through a designated LMIA Portal to Service Canada and include:

Processing Fee

$1,000 non-refundable fee required for LMIA applications supporting a work permit. (PR Support only is exempt from this fee).

Business Documents

Legal documents proving the legitimacy of a Canadian business or proof that wages can be paid to the worker.

Provincial TFW Hiring Certificate 

BC, Manitoba and Saskatchewan require this certificate before hiring a foreign worker. 

Recruitment Efforts

Employers must show efforts have been made to hire Canadians or a Permanent Resident.

Wages

Wages paid to the foreign worker must meet geographical median thresholds via the determined NOC. 

Employer Compliance

Comply with provincial, territorial or federal employment laws.

Additional requests may be required. We join you for your ESDC interview to ensure the application is being represented with full professional direction from start to finish.

Step 8 > Decision

You are immediately contacted when your application is updated. We are there to walk you through the next steps, and of course, celebrate approvals!
